New banking scam has just hit pakistan and not only hundreds but thousands of Pakistanis are being affected.
What i am going to tell you today might not be nothing new to you but this might help you save your money.Yesterday a friend of mine received call from his bank " Standard chartered Bank" Saying " Sir are you waiting for 9k dollars that are being credited to your account? My friend answered "No". Bank Official said: " sir a duplicate card of your Debit card is being used in England so we will block your ATM.
So, this was not the only case this month. Many cases have been reported yet who lost thousands of Rs through illegal transactions. Banks don't cooperate much in this regard. They return your amount if they found clear evidence of illegal transaction. 120 working days are required by bank to fulfill their requirements to return back your money.
So, there are few things that can help you save your hard earned money.
1. Do not give your Bank Account number online to anyone,specially online purchase websites.
2.Try not to activate your i net banking service.
3.Get your Sms alert activated by bank so that you get notified on transactions by any illegal means.
