Giant Outdoor escalator

Bogota a city in Columbia got a giant outdoor escalator for its poor residence that were to climb a long distance to reach there home.Approx 12,000 residence of that area had to climb a long distance.
Officials planned to make there route easy for them.So they decided to make an escalator .
Few days ago the inauguration ceremony of the escalator took place . Officials inaugurated the escalator and talking to the media told that it cost them around 6.5 million dollar.It is about 12,60 ft height.It took people to reach at the top about 30 Min's now there distance has decreased to about 6min.
Residence of the area where very excited to see the outdoor escalator."Its a dream come true" said one of the resident.
